Dirk Rutten: Designer
Dirk Rutten, born in 1970 in The Netherlands, Dirk embarked on his journey into the world of art and design at the Design Academy in Eindhoven in 1988. His passion for creativity led him to pursue his education further, graduating from the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Utrecht as a product designer in 1999. Along the way, Dirk broadened his horizons by studying in several countries abroad, earning a Fine Arts degree in 1993.
In 1999, Dirk established his independent design studio in The Netherlands, Over the years, he cultivated a diverse network of companies, collaborating with them to design products tailored for the commercial office space on a global scale.
Throughout his career, Dirk Rutten's dedication to innovation and his keen eye for detail have been evident in the array of products he has created for the ever-evolving working environments. Recognizing the profound impact design can have, both on individuals and the world around us, Dirk embraced a vision for the future where beauty and functionality coexist harmoniously with sustainability.
It was this vision that inspired the creation of Ecolution, a testament to Dirk's commitment to sustainable design. Founded in The Netherlands and now expanded globally across Europe and North America, Ecolution stands as a testament to Dirk’s ethos of social responsibility and his belief that design can be a force for positive change.
